It takes grit and hard work to make it in the uber-competitive world of pro sport. But Table Tennis sport are still massively underrepresented in the media. That’s why we giving you a scope of the biggest event in South African history. “The Pedro Meyer Classic 2018” It is in the honor of the table tennis legend Mr. Pedro Meyer also known as Mr. Table Tennis. He has accomplished the highest accolades in the Table Tennis industry and he has been paying it forward to the sport. He has coached and developed many provincial and national champions, however, he is to be commended most for the work he has contributed to the underprivileged communities of Cape Town. Mr. Table Tennis is currently eighty years of age.
The Duinefontein Table Tennis Club in collab with the Stephanian Table Tennis Club is pleased to announce it will be hosting the biggest tournament that the country has ever seen. It will be hosted at Belhar Sports Centre. The event will run from the 30 November -2 December 2018. There will be a range of national and provincial players. Players from all over the country from the finest to the elite will play for prizes and cash rewards. The categories are women’s seniors, Boys and girls juniors. The tournament is organized by Mr. Wafeeq Domingo (Chairpersons and Founder of Duinefontein Table Tennis Club).
